Hun Manet Leads Cambodia-Singapore Business Forum

Phnom Penh, June 20, 2024 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet chaired the Cambodia-Singapore Business Forum in Singapore on the morning of June 19, 2024. The event saw participation from 481 investors representing 348 companies, highlighting the robust interest in Cambodia’s investment opportunities.

This forum is part of the Royal Government's ongoing efforts under its 7th legislature to attract foreign investment, particularly from Singapore, through such business forums. These gatherings aim to showcase Cambodia’s investment potential and the incentives available under the Cambodian investment law. The event provided a platform for investors to gain a deeper understanding of the market opportunities in Cambodia, especially in sectors that are ripe for development, supported by the country’s youthful and skilled workforce, which makes up about 65% of the population.

The forum also emphasized the added advantages of bilateral and regional trade agreements that Cambodia is part of, which enhance the country's attractiveness as an investment destination. Such initiatives are aimed at fostering job creation, boosting local economies, and providing sustainable economic benefits to the Cambodian people.
